5 varieties to provide tasty crops throughout the season -1kg each of: Accord (First Early) - A high-yielding variety producing uniformly-shaped, oval tubers, with tasty creamy-white flesh. Good resistance to common and powdery scab. New, boil, steam, chip or saute. Maris Peer (Second Early) - A familiar second early producing a large crop of round, small/medium, white-fleshed tubers that are waxy and tasty. New, boil, steam or chip. King Edward (Maincrop) - This old favourite needs good soil to do well and crops are more modest than some but its well worth growing. Boil, steam, mash, chip, saute, bake or roast. Charlotte (Salad Type) - A latish first early, producing good crops of medium sized oval tubers that are waxy when young and perfect hot or cold. Good blight and scab resistance. New, boil, steam or saute. Desiree (Maincrop) - A firm favourite which boasts fine flavoured pale yellow flesh. It can become very large and slightly mis-shapen, but is nevertheless very versatile. Boil, mash, chip or saute. (All ideal for container or garden growing.) Quality Control - following inspection our seed potatoes receive a certification number (see bag label). They are size graded within riddle size 35mm x 60mm to achieve the ideal size, although shape will vary due to season and variety. A final visual examination takes place prior to packing. Note: a 1kg pack of a typical variety should contain over 10 tubers.Order Despatch - Potatoes are sent separately, in specially secure cartons, and will be despatched from December onwards, weather permitting. Please note that we monitor weather conditions daily during critical periods and do not despatch when frosty periods are forecast.
