Clematis Recta Purpurea

A superb clematis producing pannicles of star-shaped, deliciously scented white flowers, with cream anthers. The new leaves emerge a striking purple, turning green as the season progresses. Flowers May-July. Height 100-150cm.Unique 'shrub-like' clematis variety - The family resemblance to its climbing cousins is obvious, but this upright-growing, clump-forming herbaceous perennial variety is perfect for a mixed bed or border. Prune to near ground level in early spring.
