Produces good crops of large, juicy, purple-blue fruits in autumn. They're good eating plums but they come into their own as cookers and make the best plum jam, plum tarts, or stewed plums. A self fertile variety, it does not need to be planted with another plum to produce reliable crops, and its resistance to plum bacterial canker is an added bonus. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Supplied as a bare root tree. Grown on St Julien A rootstock which is semi-dwarfing, providing a medium-sized tree of 22.5m (78).
