The 1000w German-built Al-Ko 32VLE combines aeration and scarifying capabilities in a single value-for-money package and as such will prove an invaluable purchase for lawn-care enthusiasts. It?s supplied with two cassettes: a 32cm scarifying cassette with 20 sprung tines that will delicately remove stifling growth-inhibiting thatch; and a 29cm aeration cassette which comprises 12 hardened-steel blades that slice into the turf creating vital access routes for moisture air light and fertiliser (if you?ve put some down). There?s also a safety indicator which shows whether whichever cassette you?re using is properly fitted; and a five-position dial for quick-and-easy adjustment of the working-depth no tools required.
