Heavy-duty rear-tine tillers such as this one from Apache have the extra digging-power you?ll need when tackling very heavy soil-conditions. They can be used for both primary and secondary tillage and are also suitable for turning in garden-waste at the end of the growing season where it can decompose over the winter. The Apache RTT3 is fitted with a high-powered 6.5hp Briggs & Stratton Intek four-stroke engine. These premium-quality motors utilise an overhead-valve layout that works to reduce noise and vibration and helps to keep fuel-consumption and exhaust emissions at an impressively low level. The steel tines on the Apache RTT3 have been heat-treated so they?ll stay sharp for longer and won?t break should you accidently guide the tiller into a solid object. Power is sent to the tines via a V-Belt for optimum torque-transfer. Thanks to its three-speed transmission (2 + 1) the Apache RTT3 Rear-Tine Garden Tiller couldn?t be easier to control and manoeuvre. The chain-drive to the wheels is housed in an oil-bath for reduced wear and therefore an extended working-life. An adjustable depth gauge means you get set the machine up to suit the soil conditions and the nature of the task you?re undertaking.
