Rough cut mowers don?t get much rougher than the rugged and powerful Billy Goat Outback range and this Honda powered machine built like a tank and full of great features will clear pretty much what you want it to. In fact the Billy Goat BC 2403H Outback Rough Cut Brush Mower will deal with just about anything you face it with. If the front brush guard can push it over the mower can cut it up. The 390cc Honda engine has an output of 9.7kw provides loads of driving and cutting power and smooth exceptionally quiet performance with a bearing supported crankshaft for extra strength and OHV design for improved efficiency and enhanced power transfer. The fuel tank has a capacity of 2.18 litres for longer working sessions between refuelling stops. The width of the cutting deck is 61 centimetres to clear more ground faster and the cutting deck is very tough. Because you never know what might be buried in the vegetation when you are clearing rough vegetation the belt is made of Kevlar (as used by the military) for extra strength absorbing impact shock and passing to the clutch enabling the Outback Brush Cutter to deal with obstacles even stones bricks or half buried logs with no problem. There are three forward gears and one reverse gear which is useful when turning is difficult or impossible and speeds vary from 1.79MPH up to 3.69 with 2.77mph for reverse gear. If you need to inspect the engine or carry out any maintenance the front hatch lifts off very easily giving you full access. The transaxle is sealed so no need for maintenance and there is limited slip differential included which transfers power wherever it is needed enabling it to handle slopes (up to 20?) uneven and awkward ground or thick underbrush with ease. The deck is robust and rigid resisting snagging and providing stability while a rear cable guard takes care of the transaxle cable preventing it from being caught up or dragged down by vegetation. The rear wheels are large and wide and fitted with 16? pneumatic high-floatation tyres patterned for grip and traction and pre-filled with puncture sealant for added peace of mind. Adjustable cupped skid-shoes at the front help with side-to-side manoeuvrability and assist tyre traction When it comes to operator control ergonomic handles are provided. These are fitted with soft handgrips and designed to be comfortable and easy to manipulate. The drive and the blade are lever-controlled independently for ease of operation. Gear controls are easily within reach and steel hand guards protect against thorns and sharp branches. The blade drive spindle assembly is buttressed in four directions for extra protection.
