It?s powered by a Briggs & Stratton 650-Series engine; a 190cc (6hp) four-stroke vertical-crank unit that?s renowned amongst gardeners worldwide for its impressive reliability; high-torque performance; and superior fuel-economy. Power from the engine is delivered to the 56cm trimmer-head via an independent belt-drive that works to reduce the risk of costly crankshaft damage. The cutter-head itself is capable of taking heavy-duty line so even really tall and dense grass won?t prove a problem. Thanks to its large-diameter wheels the Hayter Powertrim is easy to handle on challenging terrain. It has been equipped with a safety-enhancing Operator Presence Control (or ?Deadman?s handle?) which ensures the engine is cut when the bail-bar is released; and it features a fully adjustable handlebar that can be set-up to suit the operator and which can be collapsed for more compact storage. Four replacement cutting-cords and a pair of safety-goggles are included.
