If you own a larger lawn (around 3000sq.m) and would like to keep it in peak condition without expending any-effort this groundbreaking robot mower from Honda should be at the top of your shopping-list. It?s fast and hassle-free to set-up. Firstly position the base-station (which is essentially where the mower ?lives?) then layout the border wire around the area that?s to be mown. You can then programme the mower to depart its base at the time you prefer leaving you to enjoy more spare time from spring through to autumn. Honda Miimo HRM500 Robotic Lawn Mower runs on a high-powered lithium-ion battery which has many advantages over its lower-spec ni-cad cousins including a lack of self-discharge and memory effect; and longer run-times and shorter charge-times. When the battery is low the mower will return to its base for recharging of its own accord. Fitted with three blades that will finely chop grass-clippings as they swirl under the deck the Honda Miimo HRM500 will leave your lawn free of messy cuttings and thoroughly well-nourished by the rapid decomposition of the shredded grass (the blades are made from flexible material so they won?t dangerously shatter in the event they hit an immoveable object). Equipped with three independent ?bump? sensors the Miimo HRM500 will stop and turn away from any obstacle it might encounter. Also featured is a ?Yaw? sensor which keeps the mower firmly on course when it?s mowing sideways along slopes; and a ?lift? sensor which kicks-in when a lack of contact with the ground is detected. The unit is then deactivated with the entry of your chosen pin-code the only way to get it going again ? this renders it a particularly unattractive target for thieves; and also ensures a curious child wouldn?t be injured by having a look underneath the machine. Three operating-modes are offered (random; directional; mixed) so you can choose the one that will be most effective for the size and shape of your lawn.
