The MT85-160 is McCulloch?s top-of-the-range front tine petrol tiller so it will come into its own in the hands of smallholders and other horticulturalists needing to regularly undertake more challenging bed-preparation and aeration tasks. Driving the MT85-160 is one of Honda?s finest garden machinery engines; the GX160. Rated at 4.8hp these 160cc four-stroke OHV power-units really pack-a-punch and are famous for their exceptional fuel-efficiency and low-noise low-vibration operation. A cast-iron cylinder-sleeve combines with a dual-element air-filter to maximise engine-life; while an automatic decompression mechanism works to greatly reduce resistance in the starter-rope. Thanks to its heavy-duty chain drive this superbly well-engineered machine will easily cope with the demands of intensive use and delivers the optimum amount of torque to the tines. There?s a reverse gear as well as a forward gear so you?ll have no trouble manoeuvring the tiller out of awkward positions (the gear-selector is mounted directly to hand). This model has a substantial 84cm tilling-width so large areas can be quickly covered. Other important features include an adjustable working depth for flexibility-of-use; and height-adjustable handlebars for a more comfortable working experience.
