This versatile petrol brushcutter from Mountfield comes as standard with a three-tooth metal brush-blade and a bump-feed strimmer-head so it's suitable for a range of landscaping applications from lawn edging through to the removal of stubborn scrub and bramble. Power from its low-emission 25.4cc two-stroke engine is delivered to the chosen cutter-head via a solid-drive shaft rather than the flexible type found on lesser machines. This means minimal torque-loss and maximum durability. The Mountfield MB2802 Two-Stroke Brushcutter is fitted with a double 'bike'-style handlebar which provides greater control and manoeuvrability than a 'loop'-type handle (for this reason 'bike' handles tend to be favoured by pro users). It employs Mountfield's tried and tested anti-vibration technology for a significant reduction in operator-fatigue; and it comes with a shoulder-harness that distributes the unit's weight (8.1kg) evenly across the user's body. The 26mm-diameter shaft on this model is made from aluminium which offers inherent corrosion resistance.
