A nickel / silicon-coated cylinder and a forged three-piece crankshaft work to maximise engine-life; and an electronic ignition manual fuel-pump and half-throttle choke mechanism combine to ensure starting is a hassle-free operation. Thanks to its long 60cm blades and generous 31cm tooth-gap the Solo 161 Professional Petrol Hedgetrimmer is ideal for taming larger hedges with thick well established growth. The blades are manufactured from German sprung-steel and are counter-ground so they?ll not only cut quickly and cleanly but they?ll also stay sharp for a lot longer. One of the best handling hedgetrimmers in its class the Solo 161 is lightweight (only 5.7kg) and well balanced; and employs Solo?s multi-point anti-vibration which consists of six high-grade steel springs that absorb virtually all of the vibration created by the engine and the blades. For even greater comfort Solo have made sure that exhaust gases are directed away from the user?s face. Other premium features include a side chain-tensioner for quick and easy chain-adjustment with little interruption to the job; and a large-surface air-filter which helps to maintain peak performance for longer.
