STIHL?s reputation is well established they can honestly claim to be one of a handful of truly high quality cutting tool manufacturers and this hedge trimmer is a great example of what they do best. Robust durable and very efficient the STIHL HS 46CE Petrol Hedge Trimmer is powered by a 21.4cc 0.64kw engine that drives the sharp double-sided blades with their reciprocal action for a clean cut and ability to cut stronger thicker branches. The cutting bar is 55cm long perfect for medium to large-scale cutting. The engine starts very easily with the groundbreaking ErgoStart system that genuinely reduces the effort required to start with the recoil a gentle pull with two fingers and it starts requiring a third of the usual force. A manual fuel pump helps this also. Push-button operated it sends fuel to the carburettor reducing the number of pulls needed after long gaps in work. An electronic ignition module is included for dependable starting and easy smooth and hassle-free running. The ignition system is fully enclosed protecting it from moisture dust and dirt. Intense vibrations in the handles can be very debilitating to the operator when using cutting tools like hedge trimmers and the onboard anti-vibration system on this model lowers these vibrations by a large amount dampening engine oscillations with spring-style buffers isolating them from the housing and reducing the levels that reach the operating handles. More ease of use and convenience come from the oil and fuel filler caps specially designed to open and close easily without tools making filling up the fuel and oil quickly.
