You may not be familiar with Distylium myricoides 'Blue Cascade' as it's a relatively unknown shrub but why not give it a try? You don't want to have the same planting as everyone else in your neighbourhood. The features are blue-green evergreen foliage that gives the plant it's name and during spring you can expect dark red petal-less flowers opening along the arching stems to bring early colour and interest to the garden when it's needed most. The Blue Leafed Izu Tree is happy to be placed in full sun or partial shade so it will suit most areas of the garden so give the new guy a home! Height: 150cm (59). Spread 120cm (47).
