Weigela Middendorffiana

Striking bell-shaped, yellow flowers with pretty speckled orange throats appear in clusters in late spring and early summer on this attractive deciduous shrub. Once the flowers have finished, the glossy bright green leaves provide a lovely backdrop for summer perennials and colourful foliage plants. Weigela middendorffiana is naturally compact and is a perfect shrub for small gardens, woodland gardens and cottage gardens where the lightly scented flowers attract bees. Height and spread: 1.5m (5').
