Modern breeding has brought us this exciting new variety of Weigela which steals the show in autumn when the glossy green leaves take on glorious shades of deep red and burnt orange. Pink trumpet-shaped flowers adorn this compact deciduous shrub in May and June, which are attractive to bees. Weigela florida 'Wings of Fire' is easy to grow and unfussy about soil type making it a fantastic choice for low maintenance gardens, woodland gardens, informal screening, large patio containers and small spaces. Height and spread: 1.5m (5').
