An upright, bamboo-like shrub with narrow oval shaped, lanceolate leaflets, which are a splendid green during summer, and purple when young and during the winter months, this Nandina will provide a wonderful focal point in your garden. The autumn berry display is vibrant, and it is the equivalent of the Far East's Christmas Holly, this shrub is ideal for borders or at home in large containers too.
