This variety of Plantain Lily is extremely deserving of the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) it has been given by the RHS. The green centres of its leaves are framed by cream margins, making for a dramatic contrast throughout the season. If the hardy perennial's foliage isn't enough to satisfy your desire for colour, then you only have to wait until July for pretty, lilac flowers to appear. These blooms will thrive in moist, shady borders or woodland, making Hosta 'Minuteman' a practical, as well as a pretty, choice. Height: 55cm (1'10); Spread: 100cm (3'3).
