If you want a deep red Clematis with massses of large single flowers produced freely from July through to September, Clematis 'Rüütel' is the one for you! Its blooms measure up to 20cm (8) across and they are attractive to bees and other beneficial insects. This charming Clematis has a compact yet robust habit which means it is ideal for growing in containers and also effective growing up fences, walls and garden obelisks. This Clematis benefits from pruning back to just above ground level each year. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 1m (3'). Pruning group: 3.
