It all started back in Febuary when I planted 3 seeds of each Scandens Violet and Alba which is Yellowish green not white despite it’s name and not as popular as it’s parent.
I soaked the seed for 24 hrs then planted them it didn’t take them long to germinate and they were away, all over the hard winter I kept them in the heated greenhouse, they got bigger and bigger what was I going to do with them, well I then put them all together in a large terracota pot with a metal oblisk going up. This they loved as they could cling to it with there long tenderils.
Come the end of April begining of May no sign of a flower so I gave them a dose of tomato feed and hay presto little buds started to form was it or wasn’t it !! to my amazement it had loads coming this is how it looked.
This is the final result
