Let battle commence

Today the hottest day of the year so far I gathered my tools and set of up into my derelect woodland, with the seeds still falling from the trees ( see previous blog) I dare not turn a stone in the main garden, so the obviouse choice was to get stuck in (no mud availiable) to the task of clearing the ground

Toiling away with the ocasional pause for several hours the sweat running down my back and I’m starting to think why the hell am I doing this when my beloved wife puts in an appearance complete wifh a nice cuppa. Sitting on the summer house decking taking a break listning to the birds in the branches overhead and the bright sunlight filtering through the trees highlighting the bright yellow blossom I was transported to my own version of heaven well almost ,there is no babbling brook

With vigor renewed it was back to the battle Knowing why I’m doing it
with more persperatine and blistered hand (where did I put my gloves) the raked up pile of the injured vegitation grew.

In crickiting terms this is not going to be a 20 20 match more a full blown test serise and like the ashes one to be fought bitterly every year
