Deep red and silver

I’ve had a Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ in a glazed pot in my porch since last autumn. I love the dark red leaves against the grey-green of the pot. I started with three cyclamen around the main plant – two of those died over the winter. I also planted tulip bulbs in the pot, Black Parrot and Showbizz. The tulips came up alright but taller and leggier than I expected. So yesterday I added five Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’ to add a bit of contrast to the arrangement. The label says to plant 120cm apart so five in one pot may be a bit much! But we shall see.

It looks very nice. I don't see why the plants shouldn't grow. Sometimes it's a good idea to plant things closely together - it gives a nice effect. But I suppose they'll need a bit of feeding because they'll be in competition with each other for nourishment.
