Getting there ..... at last

Hello all,
Sorry, i seem to have been a bit quiet this year. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day any more.
Must be an age thing.
Well, i did promise to keep you updated with the garden landscaping project.
Remember this……
The day we moved in 2 years ago almost to the day.
This next picture was the view out of the kitchen window then … you can tell from the length of the grass that this picture was taken about 4 months before we actually moved in.
Well ………
this is the view that i looked out on this morning
… and from just outside the back doorwhoops … hadn’t realised that Bonnie was leaving her trade mark on the picture……
I have lots more photos of the progress so if you would like a log of how it took shape then just leave a comment to that effect and i will try to find some time to put together a blog of the pond build.
It isn’t finished yet as you can tell from waterfall area. I have to build up a soil surround but it has been so wet just lately i haven’t been able to do much with it.
I didn’t have any help this year so i had to dig out the pond myself – 4ft deep 9 ft long and 7ft wide.
… and guess what .. the day i got it completed with liner in it – the hosepipe ban came in -I think i might run a competition to see who can guess how many watering cans it took to fill it ….!!!!
We now have 13 Koi swimming happily around in it albeit they are very small at the moment.
Hopefully i will catch up with you all later….

You've don a lot of work on your garden, and it looks great now. I wouldn't like to guess how many watering cans full you had to carry, but I bet you've got some well developed muscles now lol ...

A very good two years work Tony, it looks a treat now, I do feel for you having to fill the pond with cans, mind you if it was here you`d be having help from above as we have been having rain in torrents all day, lol, it would be good to see your work on the pond so will look forward to seeing a blog...

What a transformation Tony, it looks great, much better now you've moved the shed and made an attractive patio area. Look forward to seeing your blog of the pond build.
