Always love the way the garden looks different at night , with lights and shadows , just hope the weather we have been promised happens , so we can all enjoy our gardens in the evenings as well as daytime

Yes, some flowers(busy Lizzies for example) almost glow at night, don't they?
Strange, u should put this up....I was testing out my camera batteries last night(just before we go away for a few days today) and took a pic of my back garden trees/shrubs and thought how lovely they looked(particularly my Japanese Salix )

In the past we have spent many an evening in the garden sitting in the gloaming watching the birds and bats dip and dive among the trees and rooftops. The weather has kept us indoors for far too long so last night we lit the barbecue again and spent the evening on the patio. It was lovely. As the sun disappears the colours of the plants change and some that are 'wallflowers' during the day take centre stage . The pool looks deeper and more mysterious, making the aquatics look more majestic. I love it.

You can see why the moths go for the pale colours can't you? They really stand out. It looks a great place to sit and...well, to just sit.

Then on top of that, you have those flowers whose perfume is at its most intoxicating in the evening. Hope we'll get time to sit out and appreciate now that the better weather appears to be with us at last.
