Visited Merriments garden on the East Sussex border
It is a lovely garden of perennials, flowering shrubs wild flowers and bird/insects. It is great to see how perriennials/shrubs can look and then go and buy them. I Sadly the cafe has become a licenced restaurant, where even though it was virtually empty one has to wait to be seated so we went elsewhere as its not what we want when visiting what is infact a gardencentre with a garden attached.

Great little garden in a gem of a Cotswold village - a 'mini valley' location and some clever planting make this well worth visiting, perhaps in combination (and in contrast to) nearby Hidcote Manor. This is gardening with a sense of humour. Last visit was in April when there were spectacular scents from Hyacinths and Osmanthus.

The man (whom is related to the original owner) and his wife who run Milton Lodge are so friendly! The property is very beautiful! Unfortunately, this was our first garden of our England tour, and I did not take many pictures. Do not pass this garden by, if you have the chance, make a visit.
