This is where i buy most of my plants Louise has a fund of knowledge and specializes in wall shrubs and lesser grown herbaceous plants, Unfortunately i haven`t taken any pics will do next visit. The gardens have lots of secret corners, follies and a tower, its from the tower that they hold a music evening where you take your own chairs or blankets and picnicWhen you enter the nursery be careful as there are chickens and ducks scratching and wondering around. All in all its a wonderful experience. you can get a good idea of it from their website.

I was at Stourhead in May of 2007. Enchanting and spectacular! If you are visiting this garden, make time to spend the entire day, and stop into the gardens own pub 'The Spread Eagle Inn' to enjoy an ale! I would have to say, this was the most amazing garden I visited while on the garden tour. The biggest Rhododendrons! And so much colour! At every turn, and everywhere I looked, I felt I was walking through a postcard.

The award-winning gardens at Sudeley Castle are a gardener’s delight. The stunning setting, in a bowl of the Cotswold Hills, leads the eye down to the elegant parkland, the carefully restored gardens and the Castle itself. Wander around romantic ruins festooned in clematis, through rose-scented arbours and see the splendour of the Castle reflected in the tranquil carp pond.

Discover the varied styles of garden, from formal topiary to natural planting and herbal healing plants. The jewel in the crown of the ‘Queen of the Cotswolds’ is the Queens Garden, created on a Tudor parterre, where burgeoning old-fashioned roses in myriad colours perfume the air.

Lady Ashcombe has worked with renowned garden designers including Sir Roddy Llewellyn and Rosemary Verey to restore the themed gardens. Planting is designed to provide variety and colour throughout the Castle’s open season, from tulips in the Spring to Summer bedding and roses, then tender plants take centre stage in the Autumn. Sudeley is gardened organically, under Head Gardener Jon and his team, with a strong emphasis of encouraging all forms of wildlife.

Sudeley will be offering Garden Tours guided by horticulturist Lyn Hall during 2013; together with Gardening for Wildlife Tours which highlight how to encourage wildlife in your own garden. The Sudeley Castle website provides details of dates and ticket prices.

Open Daily from 17th March to 3rd November 2013.

My wife and I visited Tatton Park last July 2007 to visit the flower show held in the grounds each year.well worth a visit by anyone interested in the normal gardens (photos of the flower show will be put on a seperate site shortly)
The gardens of the main house are fantastic mainly inside the walled gardens ,where the victorian vegetable gardens were under construction.
The most interesting part for me was the Japanese garden that was reconstructed at Tatton after being displayed at Hampton Court Palace flower show a number of years ago.I had hoped to return this year but due to my wifes ill health will have to wait till next year

Years ago, I lived in Docklands and drove past this garden. Now, there is a DLR station next to it. A month ago, I flew from City Airport and had allowed too much time for the DLR trip. I was excited to have checked in, left my luggage and headed back one stop to the garden. It was great to spend several minutes before a flight walking through tall grass relaxing. The manicured flower and herb garden was unexpected. The visit was a very welcome travel delay. From now on I will allow extra time to visit the garden whenever I fly from City.

How do you change the marker on the map. The original poster has placed it in the wrong place!!!!

The garden site is actually south east of Elmstead Market, not west of it!
