lovely invasions

I read /heard about the dandelion invasions this year and we are no exception up here in Aberdeenshire. Have included a photo I took yesterday just showing how perfect a form the clock is!
We have also been invaded by wild garlic, which makes a splendid white carpet leading into the woods…tasty too! My question may be why do the deer, slugs, snails or rabbits not eat these instead of my brassicas, petunias, hostas or saplings :)
The photos may not be with this blog but are in my photo collection.

There have been more Dandelions than usual in Carmarthenshire aswell. I've never seen so many. The clocks look nice and soft lol

Well why not make some home made wine with the flower heads then. My dad always used to get us kids out picking the heads off to make dandelion wine. Quite potent stuff and tasty too, if you like that sort of thing

rabbits do eat garlic. I remember cleaning one that had been cuaght by the local game keeper and it smelt of garlic. pre flavoured . it was really nice too.

Well you see ... Mrs Bambi, Mrs Slimy, Mrs Brian & Mrs Warren don't appreciate garlic breath in the evening so they ban any munching of the stuff!

Brassicas, hostas, petunias & saplings however ... are a well known aphrodisiac!! ;O))
