Thanks.......Meanie Fluff and Dotty.........It is a bit tender and has to be overwintered in the greenhouse, but this is now about 5 feet high and I have had it 4 years, and just keep cutting it back so that we can get it through the greenhouse door.....Its in John Innes no 3 and fed ericaceous........

You never know. I've heard of Bougainvillea growing in parts of France where it snows (in protected areas). The secret is to get the vine large and established enough before the cold comes. The tops are very tender to cold (it will die back under freezing)...however, the stems (trunks) when established are very hardy.

I'm always the eternal optimist. : > )
