Mine came up last spring but just brown tipped leaves and no sign of flowers so planted 3 more last year and the same thing has happened.

Dawn they can be very fussy, like to be planted with gravel underneath their roots.
Lincs I do yellow, orange, purple, red, blue, I used to do only green, light med dark and now I do the lot......I am more Christopher Lloyd these days!! and it works too.
Sorry you had no joy Cinders, and Drc, as I say not easy plants.

I have this too but mine are orange, nearly in flower, was amazed to see them come back after last winter, mine are in heavy clay oops must remember when they need splitting to add some gravel :-)

Simbad we had the orange first of all but they never came back, would like to try some different colours next time.

It is interesting to know about the gravel under the bulbs. I have just bought 2 stenophylla and was wondering how to keep them as previous attempt failed.
