I don't mind if you all laugh and you can laugh as many times as you like, Hywel :) My family thought it was hilarious as well. I just wish it had let me finish the lawn first. The flames came out of the connection thingy where the lead went in, it looked like it was turbo charged :)

Oh dear lol....... :)) im always wary of electrical things.... years ago my iron caught on fire while I was using it, caught alight in the wire itself where it had kinked.....
