Wildrose's Profile

I have now lived in Devon for over 40 years and love the peaceful way of life here. We live quite near to the North Cornish coast and have Dartmoor in the other direction.
We live in a cottage in a small village and the garden means a lot to us but we never seem to quite get on top of the weeds!!
The garden is at its best in April, May and June and we are trying hard to improve it so that we have all year round colour! We regularly visit RHS Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington which is beautiful in all the different seasons.
I love the sun and when the sun is shining, I have to be outside!! We retired from work 15 years ago and it is so lovely to have time on our hands to spend in the garden and to just please ourselves.
I love scented plants, so roses, honeysuckle, lavender, pinks and sweet peas mean a lot to me!
I do the mowing and the containers and my husband looks after the vegetables and the beds. I also do a lot of sitting in a deck-chair on those warm, sunny days!
