silent encounter

In my greenhouse in june this year i followed a fellow gardeners advice by playing music and even talking in a low voice to my plants. My plants appeared to thrife on this odd gesture and when i tried to leave the greenhouse i found myself confronted by my freind lucy seemingley smiling at me. I wonder if Lucy could understand what i said she was very clingy. My knomes are always amused at my endevours to create a nice garden. Take care all.

I'm all in favour of talking to plants when you have to do something rather brutal to them, or if they're not looking well - my son told me the other day that he remembers me talking to him when he was small in the same comforting, caring tone, lol, think he thinks I've gone bonkers, for sure! I've done it for years though, that's what he doesn't realise - I'd get to a client's garden and ask the pyracantha I moved last week how it was doing and inspect it, etc... And Mozart, folks, is the best music for plants to grow larger, be more productive and be healthy, or so research indicates. Think it's the same for chickens, they respond well to a bit of Mozart...
Your cat, of course, probably thought you were talking to her...

I talk to plants if I am about to upset them by moving or pruning. I talk to my cat because he chats to me in his own way.
