computor up and running great(fingers crossed). Snow hit us with a vengeance today, everything is covered in a white blanket. Looks very nice through the lounge windows but its freezing outside. Managed to capture a snap of a bird on my polycanthus bush eating the berries (three in all)so ifelt my bush had contributed in a smallway to wildlife servival. Sorrey for all wildlife really its very difficult at these timesfor them tofind food. We put bird food out for them but the snow covered it. Will have to use an open covered site in future. Take care enjoy.

I've just ventured outside to fill up my bird-feeders and defrost the bird baths.. My garden has mostly sparrows, but they deserve 5 star treatment. :o)))
Yes, Heron, I agree about the concern for animals. During the weeks and weeks of fireworks I was worried about the pets and wild creatures, and now they have all this snow to cope with ....
Tony... I'm glad that your computer is okay again now, and that you are in touch with us on GoY. I hope Tiny the budgie is well...

Yes I`ve also been out brushing off birdtables and thawing the baths, my garden however looks like a battle zone as Brynner and Morgan have been playing in the snow and spread Pampas grass everywhere. I do feel sorry for the motorists, they are not all joyriders, a lot of people have to travel for work, my hubby and daughter included, no work, no pay, its a worry when they are out in it, thank goodness I`m retired now.
Lots of birds visiting, its a pleasure to watch them, trouble is they can spot you easier against all the white stuff, I `m going to have to learn how to use hubby`s camera,lol.....

I believe that birds must continue to eat normally to survive, it''s a wonder that so many do. What would they do if we didn't help them. I've little sympathy for stranded motorists but I'm concerned for animals like horses.
