Rupert the Robin

This is the tale of Rupert the robin (named by little holly). I made several bird boxes two years ago each is now occupied but Rupert has claimed one box near our lounge window which he or she nests in and has done so since i put them up. Last year the familey of tiny Robins were to be seen all in pefect order on the washing line. One little rascal attempted to eat my socks but the condition of the chicks was indeed a wonderful sight. Rupert is here again going back and forth and can be seen entering the box with a proud red breast so prominent. Its now a waiting game in the hope Rupert will parade the familey again. The disadvantage of having a Rupert is that our washing line is barred to my socks LoL all 12 mtrs of it. Take care enjoy.

How lovely that they've returned, they're so wonderful to watch at close range. A couple of years ago we had them nesting in the climbing Euonymous by our back door. They used our washing line as a pause before flying in to the nest....we spent hours just watching. I'm sure you will too, it would be lovely if you could get some photos. Never mind about the socks, summer's coming so maybe you can give them up.......or wear dirty ones! lol
