Entered the GH at 10 am and 10 of my 12 tomato seeds (second batch) had germinated. Seeds taken 13 march from my sweet cherry tom salad . But for one i lost my first batch of 10 so now i have 11 little plants to develop. My strawberry plants are begining to flower also. Looking forward to my Cordon Tomato growing also as i have for the first time decided to use a grow bag rather than single pots. If the latter goes ok then next year i will double Tomato output. Cuttings and all my other plants appear fine. Sadly we seem to have had one Dicentra cutting loss (Took it in 2011) it seems to have just disappeared back into the ground. Bird activety very good no vacant nest boxes (9 in all). Tinys new playstation well into construction but a lot to do yet. Take care all Tony

Hi Dianebulley Yes they do drink a lot in pots. I have had quite nice results in pots by watering dailey via large saucers at the base of the pot. My freind tried those fountain strawberry pots but not very good results. Keeping my fingers crossed this year but its a pick one eat one system so the results can be very few fruits anyway(LoL). Take care Tony

Thanks Tony. I should have experimented more on this one. Feeding etc. Might have another try.

Years ago I saw GH 3" deep shelf near the roof 40 feet long covered in compost, planted up with Strawberries. Produced fruit from March onwards. I tried it with them in pots, but the constant watering ended this bright idea.
