Yes he came onto our lawn with great speed, thought i was seeing things. Very shifty movements brought a blackbird down to peck at him. This had to stop , On with my wellies and with a swish of my cape i wandered out to defend him. Yes he was such a small but lovable creature, our first Hedghog. His little spikes had saved him from his foe but he did,nt seem to care as he was so hungry it seems. He wandered off into the direction of my shed and of course total freedom . This little fellow is now free to see another day. My dailey deed had been accomplished. Off with my cape ,off with my wellies ,i returned to the lounge to tackle an even bigger threat . Yes our Rocky was on the prowl (LoL). Take care all Tony

Well done Tony, I think we have nightly visits as our dogs go spare amongst the shrubs on occasion, like you I also rush out as I'd hate anything to happen to my little slug eater, lol, he is very welcome here even if my boys don't like it.........
