Gardens ready

It’s been lovely restoring the garden to what it should be. There’s still a few weeds out there but they’re hiding at the min. Some plants have opened on time, others are holding back ready.
The first coach party are due this afternoon and that’s the start of a busy few weeks. The weekend 2nd / 3rd july then another smaller party on the 8th.
Unfortunately due to the cold and wet conditions in May, the anticipated produce will not be at all ready, but atleast the rows of cress show that I gave sown some things.
Humph has his eyes and the Luzula is filling out.
The ‘rubbery’ is doing well
and the maze is growing well. Although it’s still at a height to be able to cheat!

There was only 35 visitors in the end, not the expected 45, and they were running half an hour late, but as it happened it didn't matter. We raised a load of dosh for the NGS and all appeared to have a great time. Only a week until the open weekend and the last visit is 5 days after that. So we should be able to relax after the 8th.

Very well done. It is wonderful privilege being able to see other peoples gardens on a visit.

Unfortunately, we don't get time to visit other folks plots. There aren't that many round here that open after me.

I love your rubbery. It makes me laugh every time I see it. And Humph and the Loch Ness Monster are looking good too. The maze is fairly growing and will be a source of great fun for smaller visitors. I hope your visitors had a lovely time. It is quite an undertaking to open your garden to the public as we saw for ourselves when we visited Spritzhenry last month. Well done.
