what a shame dotty and a mess, i dont have mac but iv heard probs before from others i know, you can click your pics on here then right click and save as you do with any photo, hope this helps ;o)

i know how you feel our last lap top was stolen from our house in a breakin.......... was not backed up ........ we do now tho , BUT becos of f.b i still had all the pics on there i had saved to my photos page , not all but a lot to remind me .

be warned,had my computer break and had all my pics on my i pod too,plugged it in and i tunes wiped it and i lost everything.was a bummer

Thanks San, at least I will have some to put back in to iPhoto will have to take the Mac into our nearest store to an Apple Genius who can remove the photos and music back to my computer...
Cristina how horrible for you, I see you have some lovely pics on FB good idea..........
Ladybug you have to use a special program to remove the pics and music back to your computer, have done it before, but I have decided not to risk it this time will have to pay the price I am afraid.

I had the same last year .I now put every thing on 16gb sd card .I have 1 for photo's and one for music although most of my music i have on cd anyway .:o)))

Happened to me to, and my email and chat sites are automatic sign in..do you think I could remember..or remember where were..my passwords. Even now I get the odd glitch from a programme I dont use often. Glad you still have your pics tho.

What a shame for you Dotty, quite upsetting. We have Apple Macs for the reliability factor. I heed your warning and we're checking our time machine is backing up. Any idea what caused your problem. How old is your Mac Dotty.

Dawn my Mac is only three years old, the problem was to do with volume which required me to install the installation disk, the trouble was I ran the whole disk, and it took me back to Tiger, and at the moment I am on Snow Leopard, hence almost a clean hard drive.......my own fault though, at least I know what to do in the future.Cristina as you say I do have some of my best garden pics on here.
Mushy I will certainly be looking to buy an external hard drive.
Homebird as least they are still on my ipod.

I see Dotty, what a shame, they say we learn from our own mistakes, easily done. Annoying though, I'd be gmutted if I lost my pics.
