Tomato Plants

This year I grew a variety of tomato plants called Vanessa. I have been growing these fruits for ever but Vanessa has proved to be the most fantastic. They crop heavily, have soft skins and the taste is divine. They are excellent in salads and also cook well. I suggest that you look out for them next season.
Does anyone out there agree?

To be honest I don't know but I imagine they should grow in a sheltered, sunny spot. I'll try next season. The problem with not growing your own is that the shop varieties all seem to share the common denominator of totally lacking taste. But maybe that's just me.

I have grown a variety called 'Gemini' for over 25 years now. OK, so they got blight this year but it's only the third time in all the years I have been growing them. The seed is only available from Dobies but there's enough in one packet to last two years. They are an upright variety (similar to Moneymaker) but with a good sweet tase. They can be grown in a cold greenhouse or outdoors and I'm usually picking by mid August
