Young pensioner from North Devon with a second-floor north-facing balcony which I love because it is like being on holiday every day of my life and when I am not at the gym I sit out there either eating breakfast or drinking a late afternoon glass of wine, watching the bees, rearranging and watering all my containers (azalea, pieris, fuchsia, acacia, sunflowers, nasturtiums, cordaline, pelagoniums etc) and growing loads of herbs for my hobby of cooking. They include mint, parsleys, basil, rosemary, curry leaves, sage, oregano and thyme).

My favourite plants are blue basil - shame it dies off in winter - and the pieris whose flowers make up for it.
