I can't speak for the garden enthusiasts in Malaysia becos' I'm a weed who hardly tends to my own green space. Commonly, the folks here like to plant some fruit trees in their homes to reminisce the o'days whereby they can enjoy and share fruits of their labour with their family, friends and neighbours. Papaya, rambutan, mango n guava are some I can think of...cos' I have them in my garden! :)
