Quiet lately....

Had a hectic few months with one thing and another. Garden waterlogged and I have kinda given up on it when the weather gets so bad and with the dark nights, only see my plants in darkness with a slight hint of the patio lights. Doesn’t give me the same buzz as in the Summer. Hope the winter months will make me change my mind. I’ve always been a fan of Autumn with all the colours of the leaves etc. but with all this rain, it’s been depressing!!

Anyway, now I have a 10 week old puppy, Roxie (a Border x Patterdale terrier) to occupy my time. She is adorable but she’s also has taken a shine to the garden and loves nothing better than to rag the heather pots around the patio. Not too keen on Charlie the cactus mind you!! Hope the weekend to come may be dry and crisp and then I can get outside and survey the damage!

Hi Leo myself and Gardengnome also have dogs that love to help in the garden!!!!
Earlier this week Roxy (must be the name that does it) came in to the kitchen with a flower pot in her mouth, my first thought was oh no there goes another plant, but she had found an empty pot and was enjoying throwing it about.
I agree with you its not as exciting at this time of year by the time I get home from work it's to dark to see what is happening in the garden fingers crossed for a nice weekend.

Sounds like Roxy wants you to try some houseplants. :o)

There are pictures of my dogs with their mowers and vacuum cleaner helping in the garden on my home page photos.:o)

Not so easy in the winter with my dogs' mowers because they like to practise indoors. My lounge has the neatest "stripes" in the neighbourhood. Lol. :o)
