About me
Hi all
Very happy to have found this garden club.
I am a newbie to gardening, even though I am a practicing Herbalist & owner of our small eco-friendly therapy business, Nature's Healing Gifts, in Williamstown, NJ, & use organic herbs in our products.
We have been buying all of our organic herbs online for the past 5 years & now would like to grow our own.
We use chamomile, lavender, hops, lemongrass, rosemary, peppermint, basil & bayleaf, all which have healing properties.
In NJ we have very clay laden soil. What type of planting soil & mulch would be used to plant our herbs? Should they be planted in full sun or partial shade. How often would they require watering? Is it too late to start our herb garden now?
Thank you all very much for any input & have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Olivia
