Wonderful sight

Just come back from a few days in Shiplake ( near Henley on Thames). Our friends took us for a walk today and said we were in for a treat.
She took us to a field of poppies , boy it was spectacular. They were all standing proud as far as the eye could see. Not sure if the photo really shows it off , but just had to show you .

WOW! I wonder what they're being grown for - seeds for bread, opium...? When you said a field of poppies I was expecting the wild red ones.

Oh not again!! I've been having some comments that this is happening. I am using an iPhone and this seems to be a problem. I have contacted the boys and they said it could be the orientation I am taking the picture but I'm taking it the correct way up. Not sure what else I can do apart from reverting to put the pictures on through my computer .

I'm not sure Steragram. But they were a wonderful sight. I would love to know how they stay so upright as my own flop about if not staked.

How lovely, Pdb! never seen fields of poppies in that colour before. Maybe when there are so many they hold each other up?
