ARE WE GOING TO MANAGE TO GET OUT AT ALL THIS EASTER WEEKEND TO GARDEN? LOTS OF HAIL ON & OFF TODAY.
I JUST NEED TO CUT BACK MY BUDLEIJAS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. IF I DONT THEY WILL BE 10 FEET HIGH THIS SUMMER WHICH I DONT WANT.
WHAT ELSE? OH YES DIVIDE THAT HUGE PAMPASS. INCIDENTALLY IT HASN’T FLOWERED WHICH I AM PLEASED ABOUT AS I DONT REALLY LIKE THE FLOWER SPIKES BUT I LOVE THE FOLIAGE.
HAS ANYONE MANAGED TO GET OUTSIDE?

No, my gardening today has consisted of sowing lots of seed in trays in the kitchen, then making a mad dash to the greenhouse (which is hotter than the house!). Icy paths and snow flurries ruled the day here today and yesterday. Tomorrow, we're off for a bit of sledging fun at the nearest ski centre instead! When we get home, I'll sit in the greenhouse to thaw out!

I was outside yesterday and got hailed and snowed on - but hey, it wasn't bad, didn't settle, so I told myself not to be a wimp and carried on! I shall today, too, because the Sweetpeas MUST be tied in.

In fact, I didn't have to head for the hills today, after all. It was a beautiful day here and was out in the garden from 9am till 8pm - got lots done, Thank Goodness!

I too was able to get outside for a few hours today. More nice weather for tomorrow is on the way so I will get back out there. The front garden is all cleaned up. Now I'm anxious for nicer weather so that I can start digging up and dividing plants to start filling in the front garden.

Got back from Essex earlier today where I was supposed to be helping some friends with their garden. After biting northerly winds, rain, snow and frost, we didn't get anything done - but I have left instructions!
