strange looking daisy!

Last year we planted some daisies like plants (dont remember the name sorry) at the edge of our long border. I persumed at the time that they were annuals, but they have all come back…..
BUT one of them has very strange flowers!
Does anyone know why this has happened? the whole plant is covered in these “strange daisies” bar 3 normal looking ones….
I quite like them ;o

wow i'd love a cutting! does the plant have grey feathery foliary that stays all year?

it has green foliary that i persume dies down and regrows - either that or they have self sown in the same places they were last year ;o)
i could try take some cuttings ;o)
i will take some more pics of it tommorrow so you can see

thanks i just looked that up but im not sure as it says it is normally limited to one stem, but 99% of the flowers on the plant are affected...... its really strange!

What a great quirk of nature.:) I was just looking at this type of daisy yesterday with my mum ( spotted on a walk) she wants some but hasnt been able to find the, that is the plane ones, did you find the name of them ? think they were in her wedding arrangements/decorations and its her 50th anniversary this year so would be good to get some.
