Retired at the ripe old age of 50 and moved from Oxfordshire to the Isle of Wight. Only 100 yards from the beach and I have a walled mediterranean back garden that is frost free. Able to grow echiums without any protection and this summer we had our outdoor 'Bird of Paradise' flower for the first time. Bourgenvillia, olive tree's and banana plants flourishing.
