List of my climbers.

My fence to the right as i come out of my conservatory door faces north. on this side i have countesse de bochard, blue moon, the president, josephine (my favourite ),And lonicera (dropmore scarlett). In between i have a climbing fuchia called lady boothby, the first ever climbing fuchia.I have these in between my clematis.I got the climbing fuchia from thompson and morgan and would strongly recommend these great plants to you. They have grown the height of my fence which is six foot. they have a wonderful showing of fushia all through the summer. I cant wait to see them again this year.ten plants cost me £9.99, great value.

Anyway back on to my climbers ! on the wall facing my house at the top of the garden i have a great jasminium called beesianum, clematis called abundance, montana sericea. josephine and a great climber called partenocissus, a passion flower and several lady boothby climbing fuchias. These plants completly cover my wall which has a couple of bird boxes, which have blue tits nesting.i also hang peanut feeders for the local bird life.Forgot to say that i have the odd passion flower, not the biggest fan of these but have you ever seen such a pretty flower.

The wall to the left as i come out of my conseratory has a nice jasmine called stephanense, clematis mayleen, and jackmani superba. I have a shrub which i cannot name which looks like a fuchia. and several more lady boothby climbing fushias. In the borders i have red hot pokers, lupins, and i like to put begonias, and bissy lizzys in between my main plants. I take cuttings from my geraniums and have a great success rate on growing these. I put lots of geraniums and pelagoniuns between along my borders to give it that warm med feeling. hope this is of help to you. take care. alibongo

Interesting blog. Could you please tell me why you say you're not the biggest fan of Passion Flowers ? I've not grown these before, but I have some seedlings in pots to plant out this year. Any advice welcome. Thank you. :o)

You have quite a list there, Alibongo. I haven't really got room for any more climbers, but I read about 'Lady Boothby' and it's interesting to hear from someone who has grown it. Do you know yet whether yours have survived the winter?

It would be lovely to see photos. An interesting blog Alibongo. Thanks for telling us what climbers you have. The lady boothby climbing fuchias sound fascinating. I don't suppose they would survive here. :o(
