The Beginning (8 days on)

Hi again all,
After 8 days graft me and Allotgirl can report we are making great progress taming the plot. We have laid low the dreaded H Balsam, ( it’s piled up and we are going to have a massive bonfire), and are getting ready to plant our winter crops. We have found plenty of frogs and toads so we will have some help with the slugs. I put a plea on the local Freecycle site for some horse manure and soon had a contact just down the road from me, popped round and loaded a few bags in the car, bit whiffy but worth its weight in gold. I’m away for a couple of weeks so Allotgirl will keep you posted on progress. All the best Ernie
