Cut Flowers

Just a short blog, as I was reading the other day on GOY about growing flowers to cut for indoors, I would really like to do more of this. Anyway I have taken a couple of photos of flowers currently in my garden that I think are lovely as cut flowers. They include: echinacea, dahlias, rudbeckisa, cosmos, Persicaria, and Schizostylis. I wondered if anyone has any others to add to the list?

In my retirement I would like to take a course in flower arranging. I tend to keep flowering plants indoors because they look better than my 'arrangements' (and of course their display lasts longer). I love to see beautifully arranged seasonal flowers but have little idea how to achieve anything similar.
I am sure the florists among us must have lovely floral arrangements in their homes, please share them with us and give us a few basic hints.

I like to pick sweet williams and sweet peas. They're my favourite flowers. and I like to pick branches of forsythia in the winter and it flowers early in the house. It brightens the place up.
