Too many plants?

I love my garden, and I suppose it would be described as a `cottage garden`, but I wonder, is it ever possible to have too many plants? What do others think, I would appreciate an `outsider` to decide if they think it is over crowded?
Thank you for being an observer, this site is great for `inviting` people into your garden and I welcome your comments.

Its a lovely garden and its what I am aiming for. I keep buying plants and adding to the beds but I have a long way to go yet.

Can you ever have too many plants?! Lovely garden andrea - so full of colour.

Not overcrowded at all; it looks very lush and full and the cat is beautiful as well. I'd love mine to look just like that, but my garden really needs a few years to mature.

To my eyes it looks fabulous ... lots of great colour and interest.

It looks just fine Andrea, though I don't think you should ever finish your garden. For me gardening is a journey (bit like life) let's not try to finish it too soon. I like to have an 'idea' for next year to keep me enthused. The trick is to arrange it so that you've colour/interest all year, now that's not easy and it does mean you can't have too many plants lol
